For the bulk of the 80’s and 90’s Richard Ayre operated his own business as a practicing Chartered Accountant (in partnerships and as a sole trader). In early 2002, Richard transitioned his practice to Financial Planning after becoming a Certified Financial Planner. At that time, like so many CFP®s he had little interest in advising on the important issue of risk management (also known as Wealth Protection and/or Personal Insurance). In the main he would outsource this to other practitioners.
FutureSure Risk Management & Estate Planning germinated from a family upheaval arising from a severe medical diagnosis. The validation of a cancer diagnosis of Richard’s wife had both an emotional and financial impact of huge proportions. Knowing Personal Insurance underpins a Wealth Creation Plan, within eighteen months Richard decided that his passion lay in the risk management arena and pursued a path that would lead him to becoming a risk specialist.
Richard’s background as a practicing Chartered Accountant and knowledge of the risks associated with running a SME facilitated an easy transition to advising in the area of Business Will Insurance as well as Personal Insurance.
